LED Technology

LED Technology is a low power lighting system, durable, low voltage and environment-friendly.

Before recommending or installing this type of lighting, you must understand the basic technology on which these devices are based.

LED, Light Emitting Diode are basically small diodes that produce light when an electrical current goes through the semiconductor material they're made from. there are no electric resistances that can break or burn as in traditional lightbulbs, making them more reliable and durable. Due to the use of cold light technology, where most of the energy is directed towards the place we want to light, LED do not waste energy lighting unnecessary areas, producing really low heat, unlike traditional incandescent and fluorescent lamps.

In the beginning, LED were used as signaling lights, like the small red lights that indicate a TV is powered off, but more recently, due to technology progress, LED are the light source with more projection and future ahead.

LED technology is, nowadays, the most environmental friendly light source, with the highest energy efficiency, and does NOT contain mercury, among other toxic, pollutant or radioactive materials.
